The Founder and CEO @ SupersonicAds: Gil Shoham
- Hi Gil. Can you tell us something about the function you currently have at SupersonicAds? What does your typical day at work look like?
I co-founded the company and currently serve as the CEO. I am naturally in charge of all aspects in the company, which means everything from technology pipeline, managing publishers & advertisers and of course user support. The good thing is there is no typical day here. I usually try to input most of my time with strategic partners, but enjoy sitting around with our great team and solving day to day issues and come up with new ideas and services.
- What is SupersonicAds‘ Unique selling proposition? Why do you think people should pick SupersonicAds as their main virtual currency platform?
SupersonicAds is the first virtual currency monetization platform established to monetize International markets. Our platform is fully localized across Europe and we’re translated in over 16 languages. Our robust platform has strong optimization and targeting capabilities and is fully customized to our publishers’ needs.
- I hope you don’t mind us asking, but did SupersonicAds ever consider buying other companies operating in the industry?
Not at the moment.
- Will SupersonicAds launch new products or functions in the near future that could benefit users? If so, could you tell us something about them?
We are planning to launch some amazing new features during 2010 but cannot disclose them at the moment for obvious reasons.
- Can you give us your 3 best tips for monetizing games or content on social networks?
Any answer that chooses 3 factors will be over simplistic but I will try to give the basic elements I believe in.
Analysis – follow your users and analyze their behavior to learn and draw conclusions from it.
User Experience – work hard to keep user experience positive- happy users make you more money.
Simplicity – as we have seen in the most successful social games this year – simplicity is the answer – with the right social features you can use basic game ideas and create huge success.
- If there’s one thing you’d like to see different about the virtual goods industry; what would it be?
I believe that like every industry this industry has its pros and cons, but I wouldn’t like it to be any different because it is exciting, growing and very challenging.
- Where do you so see the industry going from here? What do you think will change (for the better or for worse)?
I believe that the industry is going up and will become the top revenue generator for the vast majority of Game Developers on their many forms.
